IASP was pleased to welcome IASP member Marmara Teknokent, Turkey, to our World Headquarters in Malaga today.

The delegation included General Manager Mehmet Ali Okur and colleagues Deniz Yayla, Kübra Altay, Azra Afsin Keskin and Cengiz Gürkan, who met with IASP CEO Ebba Lund as part of a visit to Malaga TechPark and IASP, sharing updates on their park project, and learning more about our global association.

One of the first technology parks to be established in Turkey, Marmara Technopark operates under the auspices of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK). It is located alongside the premier research and development facility the Marmara Research Center (MRC), in the heart of Turkey’s industrial and commercial hub.

Marmara Technopark also encompasses a large Free Zone designated as a “Technology Development Free Zone”, whose highly-skilled occupants are granted further financial incentives and privileges.   Spanning an area in excess of 60 hectares within 800 hectares of quasi natural park surroundings, the park is home to over 150 companies employing approximately 2300 people.

Marmara Technopark offers modern facilities and amenities with enhanced security and support, as well as ready-to-build lots for firms to construct their own HQs and R&D facilities.
