Description:
The Advanced Manufacturing Capability Center - AMC², a strategic alliance between the Transformation Industry Chamber (CAINTRA), Monterrey Center for Competitiveness (CCM) and McKinsey & Company. AMC 2 is taken part on the worldwide mission to create a broad movement and accelerated technology adoption to trigger the next productivity uplift. This paper deepens in the services provided by the AMC 2 and how they are key to close the gap between SMEs and their adoption of the technologies 4.0, so they can be successful partners to big manufacturing and exporting companies. In the first section of the methodology, this document focuses on the strategies used by the AMC 2 to diminish the negative impact of the inhibitors of growth and competitiveness in the SMEs operations; later it summarizes the contribution of the center’s services to real SMEs; and finally it presents a success example of a SME that achieved its digitalization through 4.0 technologies.
