The IASP China Office meets regularly with members across China to help them get the most out of their IASP membership, and even in the difficult times of COVID-19 the team have managed to keep in touch.

To strengthen interaction and cooperation, IASP China Office has already held two IASP Chinese Members Online Sharing Meetings in the form of online video conferences. With the goal of building an online sharing community to benefit IASP Chinese members as well as other science parks and areas of innovation, almost 50 participants gathered to share their experiences on some specific themes of concern in meetings moderated by Sophia Shang, Deputy Director of IASP China Office.

The first sharing meeting focused on 'How to Realize Internationalization of Science Parks in Remote Cities', where Hao Tang, Deputy General Manager of TusPark (Jiangsu), explored how science parks in remote cities can attract investment, high-tech overseas companies, the international top research institutes and outstanding tech-talents, and how to create an excellent industrial environment as a well-known international science park.

The theme of the second sharing meeting was 'The Survival and Development of Science Parks and Incubators under the Pandemic'. Dr. Zhenjun Yan, founder of the World Intelligent Incubation Network (WIIN), shared a research report on the survival status of science parks and incubators during the epidemic in China, with a look at the main difficulties faced by STPs, incubators, and startups; innovation ecosystem highlights from the fight against the pandemic; as well as policy suggestions from experts and predictions and expectations for the future.

Herbert Chen, Vice President of IASP and Director of IASP China office, also joined the meetings to welcome participants from across China and encourage them to share their experiences.

Going forward, the IASP China Office will continue to host online meetings around themes that respond to the needs of IASP Chinese members and that enhance interaction, mutual assistance, and growth among parks.
