International positioning of your STP/AOI

Text:

By being an IASP member you are already active in your global positioning. Our question of the month for May asked how important this international aspect was for your STP/AOI.

The results show that being international was of great importance to the majority, with 82% of the respondees marking that this was 'extremely important' (43%) or 'very important' (39%). This shows that although local or national activities still may play a part in general plans for STPs/AOIs, having an international platform at your fingertips is of great use. STP/AOI managers state that they frequently engage on a global level and value new ideas and perspectives, participating in events and knowledge sharing with global peers.

Your organisation's strategy

Text:

In April we asked IASP members how often they revisit their organisation's strategy.

A large majority of respondees (90.9%) have confirmed that their strategic plan has been reviewed recently and are currently implementing the new ideas and steps outlined. This data confirms the importance of updating strategic plans on a frequent basis bearing in mind current conditions and needs, and ensuring that actions are kept in line with the strategy that has been drawn up. It is also interesting to note that there weren't any responses indicating that this revisiting of the strategy was not necessary, thus underlining that this task is high on the list of STP/AOI priorities.
