Countdown to IASP Beijing

The countdown is on for the 42nd IASP World Conference, which will take place from 16–19 September 2025 in the dynamic city of Beijing, China. Hosted at the modern China National Convention Center (CNCC) in the heart of the Olympic Park and with special sessions at Zhongguancun Changping Science Park, the event promises to be a landmark gathering for innovation leaders worldwide. 

Theme and programme 

This year’s theme, “Elevating excellence: Innovation spaces driving high-quality development", reflects the conference’s focus on how science parks and areas of innovation can power sustainable growth and drive technological progress. Over four days, experts and practitioners from around the world will come together to discuss open innovation ecosystems, competitiveness, smart cities, advanced technologies and partnerships, with a programme designed to inspire and connect. 

The main programme will feature plenary sessions and in-depth discussions across several thematic tracks. A key highlight is the afternoon session at Zhongguancun Changping Science Park on 17 September, followed by an unforgettable networking dinner at the foot of the Great Wall of China.  

Our customary pre-conference training session on 16 September will also give participants practical tools for managing science parks and innovation hubs. Newcomers to our industry, make sure you sign up for this to get ahead and shorten your knowledge curve!  

Technical and Cultural Tours 

In addition to the core programme, delegates will have the chance to explore Beijing’s thriving innovation landscape through technical tours to leading sites, including Tsinghua University Science Park (TusPark), Zhongguancun Software Park, E-Town Robotics Industrial Park and the Daxing Hydrogen Energy Demonstration Zone. 

Beyond the conference, attendees can immerse themselves in the cultural richness of Beijing, from the Forbidden City and Temple of Heaven to the city’s traditional hutongs, experiencing first-hand the blend of history and modernity.
