A New Path Leading to Transformation of Scientific and Technological Achievements into Medical Devices 

The transformation of scientific and technological achievements into medical devices is an important link in driving innovation and development of the medical industry. However, the current medical devices industry of China is confronted with problems, such as low conversion rate, insufficient participation of medical institutions, and the disconnection between technical research and market demand. Based on the analysis of the status quo of the transformation of scientific and technological achievements into medical devices, this paper puts forward the strategies of building a community of innovation and entrepreneurship, including strengthening policy support, setting up special funds, perfecting the risk-sharing and benefit-sharing mechanisms, and giving full play to the strengths of industrial parks. Taking Zhongguancun Medical Device Park as an example, this paper discusses its practice in building the whole-chain innovation service platform, setting up a special fund for cross-transformation of Medicine-Engineering Interdisciplinary, and promoting the insurance service for transformation of achievements, which provides useful experiences for accelerating the industrialization of scientific and technological achievements. The results show that the transformation efficiency of scientific and technological achievements into medical devices can be effectively improved and the high-quality development of the industry can be promoted through the synergistic effect of policies, funds, mechanisms and resources.
