Background information

The TecnoCampus Foundation is a nonprofit organization initiated by the Mataró City Council and the Maresme County Council in order to manage and develop the university studies and business and enterprise park of the TecnoCampus. Governance is based on a system of public and private collaboration, with a board of Governors made up of representatives from public authorities, the university and the company, inspired by the triple helix model.

The TecnoCampus is the combination of a university centre and a technology park, managed in a concentrated way in order to create a true virtuous circle between the university and business, with the slogan ‘Where the university and the company go hand in hand’. It currently hosts 122 companies employing over 700 people.

The park offers flexible office space and business growth services for resident companies, a conference centre, a tech-based incubator and co-working centre with an accelerator programme and fundraising service and investor club.

Services to support internationalisation include the Go Global programme, which helps local companies to launch products and services at an international level via expert consultancy on foreign markets, advice on international digital marketing and exclusive landing runways in science parks around the world. A soft-landing service helps foreign companies discover the business ecosystem of Barcelona and to detect and engage key business players.
