The City of Richardson is taking a step towards fostering research, innovation, and economic growth with the launch of the Richardson Research Award Match Program (RAMP). Designed as a pilot initiative, RAMP aims to support and enhance the local business community's capabilities for research and development, aligning with federal programs such as the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR).

RAMP offers financial support, with Phase I companies eligible for up to $50,000 and Phase II companies for an additional $100,000. Emphasizing innovation, collaboration, and an efficient application process, RAMP aims to stimulate innovative technology, strengthen the Richardson Innovation Quarter (The IQ®), and position Richardson as a hub for successful enterprise.

The RAMP initiative is poised to play a crucial role in bolstering the city's innovation ecosystem and supporting the commercialization of innovative technologies. The program's adaptability and commitment to collaboration positions it as a midpoint for continued economic growth and development in Richardson.
