IASP member IKP Knowledge Park recently attended the BIO International Convention 2025 in Boston, marking a major milestone as it celebrated 25 years of catalysing biotech innovation from India.
As part of the India Pavilion at Booth No. 1065, IKP showcased its legacy of supporting over 1,850 startups across life sciences, healthcare, agritech, and deep tech. Represented by Dr Viswanadham Duppatla and Dr Sangita Majee, the team engaged with global stakeholders to explore cross-border collaborations and share insights from India’s dynamic innovation ecosystem.
Held annually, the BIO International Convention is the world’s largest biotechnology gathering—bringing together biotech innovators, Fortune 500 firms, investors, academic institutions, and policymakers. Organised by the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO), the event plays a vital role in shaping the future of global biotech. It features over 50,000 one-on-one partnering meetings and offers a critical platform for companies at all stages, from emerging ventures to multinational leaders, to connect, collaborate, and scale impactful solutions in healthcare, agriculture, industry, and the environment.
Throughout the three-day event (which was held from the 16-19th of June), IKP attracted strong interest from global investors and partners. Dr Duppatla, as part of the ABLE (Association of Biotechnology Led Enterprises) delegation, visited Manus and the Boston Bio Facility to explore technology scale-up strategies. Dr Majee contributed expert insight on IKP’s role in accelerating globally relevant science.
The experience reaffirmed IKP’s position as a key connector between Indian innovation and the global biotech ecosystem.
IASP is delighted to see our members participate in impactful global events such as BIO International Convention—driving innovation and collaboration across the sectors they serve, including the vital field of life sciences.
