Our colleagues at Atlanpole are hard at work preparing for our upcoming World Conference IASP Nantes, which will take place in Nantes, France, from 24-27 September and will focus on “The 4th Industrial Revolution: areas of innovation and science parks as key boosters for a successful transition.”

Recent developments

Authors submitted their full papers earlier this month, and the steering committee is now busy evaluating and shaping the scientific programme.

AI invited speaker confirmed

We are happy to announce that Dr. Yves Lostanlen has confirmed his participation as invited speaker! Dr. Lostanlen represents Element AI, a Canadian company that delivers AI software products designed to make businesses stronger, safer and more agile in fintech, insurtech and supply chain, and is leading its European expansion. He has advised Facebook, Google, Bell Labs, Orange and AT&T, founded several startups and worked with scientific research labs. He holds a Research Leadership, a PhD in Electrical Engineering and an MBA from MIT and is an Affiliate Professor at the University of Toronto and Senior Executive Fellow at the University of Waterloo, Canada.

Registration open for Discovery Days

Before the conference, Atlanpole offers delegates the chance to discover the French innovation ecosystem and its main industries via technical tours in Toulouse, home of Airbus headquarters and the Aerospace Valley cluster; Paris and region including the Open Innovation “Systematic” digital and software cluster; and the blue economy in the maritime city of Saint-Nazaire, touring the Atlantic shipyards with their submarine base, workshops and assembly docks, and one of the most powerful gantry cranes in Europe, and much more. In Nantes itself, delegates can explore the Technocampus Composite dedicated to composites materials manufacturing, industrial research at the Jules Verne Institute, and the city’s creative district where startups, SMEs, R&D, higher education, and cultural organizations come together.

IASP Pre conference seminar

IASP will once again be holding our usual Pre conference seminar on the day before the main conference starts. Aimed at newcomers to the industry, new CEOs and anyone working on a new science park project, it is a practical, interactive day led by experienced managers covering the fundamentals of STP management.
