Great success for IASP member Biopark (Brazil) at the 2023 Innovation Habitats Awards. The cermony was held during the 5th annual meeting of Science and Technology Parks in Paraná, Guarapuava (Brazil), organised by Sebrae/PR to recognise those outstanding in the industry. The initiative has become a way to congratulating the environments that drive the creation of innovative businesses in the Parana region, highlighting the results and effectiveness of their innovative practices.
Biopark’s first win of the night was in the maker-space category, with a special mention of their prototyping laboratory – a space that resident entrepreneurs can use freely to make prototypes of their products before moving on to a production line. Biopark was also awarded in the Technology Parks category, where they outshined 76 other projects, judged and examined by a board made up of industry and innovation ecosystem experts.
“These awards demonstrate recognition for the hard work we have been doing over the past seven years. Technology Parks are basically unsustainable, economically speaking, and developing this work over time is quite complex. Receiving this award shows that we are doing a good job, with good management and work practices, and managing to prosper within this universe of complexity”, points out the president of Biopark, Victor Donaduzzi.
Currently, Biopark has 190 companies with a broad range of projects in education, research, business and territorial development.
