RealFDI, the Financial Times Group’s magazine analysing global investment projects and highlighting high-potential locations in strategic sectors, has published its latest global ranking, spotlighting a selection of life sciences projects distinguished by their scale, readiness and long-term value for investors.

Initiatives from members of our association made it to the top 10, reflecting the strength and global relevance of innovation ecosystems developed within science and technology parks, innovation districts and other areas of innovation.

Among them is Hub RTP, a new downtown district within Research Triangle Park. Long established as one of North America’s leading research parks, RTP is now evolving through these 2 billion dollars, 100-acre mixed use development designed to create a vibrant, walkable centre for innovation. For the first time, this park is integrating work, living and leisure in a single environment, combining laboratory and office space with residential, retail and hospitality components.

Also featured is Quadratum, located in Potsdam Science Park. Nestled in the heart of the innovation ecosystem, Quadratum Potsdam offers prime proximity to Berlin, the Havel River and iconic landmarks, while also offering flexible spaces for various industries such as law firms and labs. It embodies commitment to sustainability and innovation, offering eco-friendly materials, cutting edge comfort, and a holistic approach to work-life balance.

The recognition of these initiatives points to a broader shift in investment strategies, where quality of life and surrounding ecosystem is as important as the structure itself. By fostering collaboration, connectivity and mixed-use environments, Innovation Ecosystems are increasingly positioning themselves as destinations of choice for global life sciences investment.
