Transforming a former industrial area in Spain

A new Technology Campus will soon form part of Spain’s Basque Country Technology Parks Network, and boost the transformation of a former industrial area of Bilbao into an innovative and dynamic new island. With a masterplan that was originally drawn up by renowned architect Zaha Hadid, the new Campus will transform the peninsula into an island of economic and social development in the very centre of Bilbao, connected to the rest of the city by mobile bridges and walkways. Sustainability, the energy transition and environmental conservation of the surrounding area are key commitments.

Global recognition for IASP member incubators in Ecuador and China

UTPL Science Park and Shanghai Caohejing Hi-Tech Park are both celebrating BCI Global’s recognition of their business incubators as among the best in the world. UTPL’s business incubator, Prendho, was ranked as one of the World Top 5 in the University business incubator category, with the Caohejing Innovation Center recognized as a World’s Top 5 Public/Private business incubator.

Specialist facility boosts space research in the USA

The newly opened Mission Integration Lab at Tech Parks Arizona, a tall, hangar-like “high bay,” serves as a test bed for new technology, enabling researchers to prepare and test stratospheric balloon payloads and other space payloads as they near flight. Researchers and students can work on instruments, telescopes and high-altitude balloon technology to build and test hardware for experiments and missions designed to fly at extremely high altitudes sometimes referred to as the "edge of space," an ill-defined transition zone between Earth's atmosphere and space.
