Ludwe Macingwane appointed as new IASP Africa Division President
IASP proudly announces Ludwe Macingwane as the newly appointed president of the IASP Africa Division. Current Head of East London IDZ Science Park (South Africa), Ludwe succeeds John Tanui, representing Konza Technopolis (Kenya).
Ludwe Macingwane is an experienced professional with extensive executive management and general management experience. She has more than 15 years working at senior management level in various fields such as: Entrepreneurship development, Innovation management, Commercialization, Research and Development, Public Relations and Communications, Government and Stakeholder relations, Marketing and Advertising and, Corporate Social Investment. Working in these different fields has enabled her to be versatile and adaptable. More importantly, it has enabled her to be an innovative leader and strategist.
She is currently heading the East London Industrial Zone (IDZ) Science & Technology Park (STP). Heading the East London IDZ STP for the past seven years has enabled her to gain executive management experience in innovation leadership, leading of technology incubators and centers of excellence for the 4th Industrial Revolution. Some of her major strengths lie in conceptualization of strategic projects and ensuring efficient execution. She has conceptualized and mobilized and secured financial investment for incubators in Information and Communication Technology and most recently, an Automotive and Manufacturing incubator in the ELIDZ.
