New laboratory and industrial buildings are due to open next month at the Alabushevo site of the special economic zone Technopolis Moscow (Russia), almost doubling the number of jobs in the Zelenograd area.

From August, innovative and tech based companies will have the opportunity to locate their manufacturing facilities in ready-made areas with modern brownfield-type infrastructure at the Alabushevo site.

Its proximity to Moscow, Russia’s largest market, is an important success factor for this project. Zelenograd is a large agglomeration outside the Moscow Ring Road, well known for the availability of highly-skilled talent, making it an attractive location for investors. It also boasts great transport links, being close to both the Leningrad highway and Sheremetyevo Airport, and the new lab buildings have already attracted a high level of interest from potential tenants.

“The possibility of obtaining ready-made industrial premises for lease will significantly accelerate the growth of innovative import-substituting enterprises at Alabushevo site, as well as create all conditions for increasing the number of jobs to 8,000. Previously, companies could place production on greenfield territory in Zelenograd, which implied obtaining resident status and the construction of the plant from scratch. From August 2020, production sites of three laboratory and industrial buildings, as well as offices in the administrative and business center, will be available for rent. The buildings have a modern layout and all the necessary infrastructure. An absolute advantage is obtaining the resident status of a special economic zone, of course”, said Gennady Degtev, CEO of Technopolis Moscow.

The area of premises available for rent starts from 25 square meters. The area of the whole floor is 1,254 square meters. The premises have all the necessary infrastructure - electricity, water and heat. The maximum ceiling height reaches 3.3 meters, and the floor load can withstand 1.5 tons per square meter.

In each of the laboratory-industrial buildings there are administrative, warehouse and technical facilities, places for unloading vehicles, facilities for 3D modeling, sanitary facilities, utility rooms, a platform for industrial refrigeration units, it is also possible to arrange production with a “clean process”.
