Three new full members join the global IASP community in May

This month six new members have joined IASP, three of them full members, which is our category for operational science parks and other innovation spaces.

Meet our full new members here:

Parque Científico e Tecnológico da UnB (Brazil)

Established in 2013, Parque Científico e Tecnológico da UnB (PCTec/UnB) spans 486,000 m², with 1,600 m² of built area. It serves as a bridge between the University of Brasilia and the private sector, government, and broader society. PCTec/UnB supports technology-based firms, incubates startups, and hosts specialised labs and research centres in ICT, energy, environmental technology, and more. Currently, it hosts 12 companies and supports four enterprises through its incubation program, focusing on fostering innovation and addressing social demands.

Edmonton Research Park (Canada)

Returning to our community this month is Edmonton Research Park (ERP), an interconnected destination for infrastructure-intensive innovation and for supporting businesses as they establish, create, develop, and grow - locally and globally. Spanning over 300 acres, ERP provides a place for company builders to connect and advance across multiple sectors, including clean energy, advanced technology, life sciences, and more.

Mersin Teknopark (Türkiye)

We're also welcoming back Mersin Teknopark. Since its establishment in 2005, Mersin Teknopark, also known as Technoscope, has facilitated the transition of new technologies into industrial production. The park houses 110 companies and supports 35 startups through its incubator. Collaborating with local universities and chambers of commerce, it focuses on sectors such as agriculture, biotechnology, electronics, and environmental technologies. Mersin Teknopark provides an angel investor network, funding assistance, and a favourable tax regime to support high-tech production and regional R&D capabilities.
