Description:
Amazon, with its vast forest and immense variety of native tree species, is a significant source for vegetable oil production. Despite this richness, harnessing biodiversity through sustainable use of forest resources remains a significant challenge in reconciling regional development and sustainability. In order to improve the competitiveness of biodiversity products, it is necessary to promote the training of technicians for the management and sustainability of biological species. Initiatives such as the Amazônia Agora Project, developed by the Guamá Science and Technology Park established in the city of Belém, Brazil have sought to valorize Amazonian biodiversity by strengthening bioeconomics, aiming to provide communities in the Northeast of the State of Pará with a new activity to generate income sustainably.
