How an Open Data Hub Can Accelerate Research and Development of Digital Solutions by Startups, Companies and Research Organisations

NOI Techpark has implemented a strategy to use Open Data and provide the Open Data Hub (https://opendatahub.com) a digital platform for dataspaces, to foster research and development in the ecosystem. The experience has shown that for a digital ecosystem to foster innovative solutions based on Artificial Intelligence an STP has to provide not only spaces and networking services, but also an open and high-quality data infrastructure, which enables startups, companies and researchers to access high-quality data. NOI Techpark has implemented a platform for dataspaces called Open Data Hub as an Open Source infrastructure, creating a community of companies developing and extending the platform itself as well as accessing and sharing data on top of it. The aim is to support all the stakeholders - from data providers to data consumers - and to foster innovation and comfort in society and to offer solutions for the future society’s challenges.
