This month 5 new full members have joined IASP from Brazil, China, Sweden and the UK. 

Parque Científico e Tecnológico da Unicamp (Brazil)

Founded in 2008 in Campinas, Sao Paulo (Brazil) and located in the Unicamp University campus, the park’s environment has been designed to allow students and research to collaborate with incubated companies, startups, and R&D labs.

Built through a strategic partnership between the State University of Campinas Unicamp and INOVA, the university’s innovation agency, the park has a strong focus on connecting this large network of talents in order to create a link between academia and the market, that can be used in new business and the creation of a local knowledge-based economy.

Guangzhou KINGFA Technology Incubator (China)

By combining research, office and living spaces, and incubation solutions Guangzhou KINGFA Technology Incubator has become a leader in the region. They currently have 6 sites and are planning more, opening communication between them to offer the maximum number of resources to their tenants and incubates to successfully enter their target market and industry.

KINGFA collaborates with third party companies and platforms to provide additional services to their start-ups, such as market expansion, R&D facilities, mentoring, financial support, and project management. The incubator actively works on supporting and communicating with the local community and their needs, as well as improving the region’s economic development.

Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park - HSITP (China)

An I&T specialised park located in Hong Kong, conjointly tied to Shenzhen to support the local technology scene by harnessing the expertise and talents from both cities. Taking advantage of the “one zone, two parks” synergistic development, the park will be equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure to create pioneering research facilities in the area, aiming to proactively accelerate cutting edge innovation and technology. HSITP works on creating an open collaboration platform for knowledge exchange and applied research, developing new innovations in life & health, microelectronics, new materials, robotics, new energy, and AI. The park estimates finishing its first set of buildings between 2024-2027.

Peak Innovation Science Park (Sweden) 

Through its science park and incubator, Peak Innovation Science Park focuses on developing Jämtland Härjedalen's business life by coordinating the region's innovation work, running innovation projects where companies, academia and public activities work together, and supporting innovation through national and international funding programmes.

Thanks to its competitive advantage in access to renewable energy, Peak Innovation is particularly active in developing new knowledge in the green tech industry, generating opportunities for innovative companies to grow and to attract investment and talent to the region.

Norwich Research Park (UK)

Four different specialist research institutes, a hospital, and a top-20 university make up Norwich Research Park. The STP’s diverse nature has allowed it to support the local R&D scene as well as the community, providing an ecosystem where business can start and grow.

Offering both virtual and physical tenancies, high spec-offices, and state-of-the-art laboratories, the park currently has over 40 resident companies working in food security and how to protect it from climate change, as well as improvements to human health.
