Dr. Jack Lau named president of Qatar Science & Technology Park

IASP member Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP) has officially announced Dr. Jack Lau as its new president. Bringing over two decades of experience across technology, academia, and entrepreneurship, Dr. Lau will spearhead QSTP's continued growth and innovation.

Dr. Lau's career is marked by his leadership in developing sustainable ventures in various sectors. As an innovator and entrepreneur, he has been at the helm of numerous startups, holding 20 patents and contributing to the creation of 45 patented technologies.

Commenting on his new role, Dr. Lau expressed enthusiasm about contributing to Qatar's dynamic technology and entrepreneurship ecosystem.

“QSTP has played a pivotal role in enhancing the technological landscape in Qatar, thanks to its vibrant and collaborative ecosystem. I am excited to lead this exceptional team and continue the park’s legacy of excellence, while driving innovation and growth,” he said.

Dr. Lau was also in attendance at the recent Web Summit Qatar 2024, the region’s first ever edition of the world’s largest technology conference. A diamond partner at the event, QTSP hosted a dedicated pavilion at the event showcasing its A-Z value chain of acceleration, incubation, funding and investment programs for tech-startups.
