Ideon Science Park-based robotics company secures €6.5 million

Cognibotics has secured €6.5 million in funding through the European Innovation Council’s EIC Accelerator programme, aimed at speeding up the commercialisation of its high-speed robotics technology. The company is based at Ideon Science Park in Lund, Sweden and has developed a picking robot designed to operate at higher speeds than traditional robots. The funding will support five pilot installations with customers in the logistics and manufacturing sectors across Central and Northern Europe.  

The project also marks a new stage in Cognibotics' offering, as the company plans to provide both its robotic systems and a complete software solution, giving customers an integrated technology package for industrial applications. 

The company expects the pilot installations to get underway in the first half of 2027, providing an opportunity to test the technology in real-world environments.
