Ideon Science Park-based robotics company secures €6.5 million in EIC funding

Cognibotics, a robotic company based at Ideon Science Park in Lund, Sweden, has secured €6.5 million in funding through the European Innovation Council’s EIC Accelerator programme, aimed at speeding up the commercialisation of its high-speed robotics technology.

The company has developed a picking robot designed to operate at higher speeds than traditional robots. The funding will support five pilot installations with customers in the logistics and manufacturing sectors across Central and Northern Europe.

The project will also see Cognibotics expand its offeringto combine its robotic systems with a complete software solution, providing customers with an integrated technology package for industrial applications.

The company expects the pilot installations to get underway in the first half of 2027, providing an opportunity to test the technology in real-world environments.
