Global recognition for the UTPL Science Park incubator

UTPL Science Park (Ecuador) is celebrating on behalf of their business incubator Prendho, which has been ranked as one of the top 5 business incubators in the world by UBI Global.

Based in Stockholm, Sweden, UBI Global supports and evaluates business incubators worldwide via their World Benchmark Study, which in its 2021-22 edition hones in on a concentrated sample of 109 business incubators and accelerators located in 56 countries. They are assessed on the value they offer to their ecosystem, their client startups, and the success of their programme in attracting deal flow and create viable companies.

UTPL’s business incubator, Prendho, was ranked as one of the world top 5 in the university business incubator category, alongside incubators from Canada, Turkey, and Mexico. The number one will be revealed in the May 2023 edition of the World Rankings Report 21-22 and presented at a ceremony at the World Incubation Summit, in Ghent, Belgium.

The Prendho incubator is a centre of innovation and entrepreneurship that seeks to promote new ideas. It offers entrepreneurs the space and tools necessary for research and development of new products or services, with a focus on agroindustry, electronics, ICT and bio-entrepreneurship.
