Background information

Moldova HiTech Park is a national innovation and technology campus being developed in Stăuceni, near Chișinău, Moldova. Covering more than 50 hectares, it is designed to bring together technology companies, universities, research institutions, startups, investors and government in one integrated innovation ecosystem. Construction is due to begin in the second half of 2027, with the project planned for development through 2035.

The park will include R&D and testing facilities, laboratories, offices and coworking spaces, education and training facilities, a conference centre, accommodation, a data centre and areas for advanced technology and manufacturing. Its main focus areas are HealthTech, DeepTech, Agritech, Cybersecurity, EnergyTech and Createch, supported by technologies such as AI, robotics, IoT and high-performance computing.

A particularly recent development is the planned MedTech cluster, for which Moldova HiTech Park signed a cooperation declaration with the European Commission in June 2026. The cluster is intended to connect medical research, digital health, biotechnology, universities and industry, while helping Moldova integrate its biomedical and technology sectors into European value chains.
