Three resident companies at Innovation Place (Canada) have been nominated for a regional entrepreneurship award, featuring among the 13 finalists of  Women Entrepreneurs Saskatchewan (WESK).

Current and former Innovation Place residents who are nominated are Valerie Sluth at Praxis Consulting, Serese Selanders at SolusGuard and ORA and Monique Simair at Maven Water & Environment!

Valerie is the founder and CEO of Praxis Consulting, a full-service management consulting firm and tenant at Innovation Place Regina.She is nominated for the Community Involvement Award, which is presented to the Saskatchewan woman entrepreneur that has been a leader in creating ways of conducting business that have a positive impact on the community.

Serese is the founder and CEO of SolusGuard and ORA, a discreet wearable device that saves lives, and is currently in the Co.Lead program at Co.Labs, a tenant at Innovation Place Saskatoon. Serese is nominated for the Innovation Award, which is presented to the entrepreneur that is pushing conventional boundaries and is disrupting and reshaping her industry through groundbreaking achievements in bringing innovation to market.

SolusGuard, ORA and Praxis Consulting are also supporters of WESK’s new initiative Woman-Owned Saskatchewan Business, which serves as a catalyst to inspire and empower women entrepreneurs to celebrate their achievements.

Monique is the founder of Maven Water & Environment, a water treatment and water management company and former tenant at Innovation Place Saskatoon. Monique launched Maven in 2019 at Innovation Place Saskatoon and has revolutionized water treatment for mining, oil sands and industrial operations. She is nominated for the Innovation Award.

Congratulations to all the nominees and the winners! Award recipients will be announced at the virtual WESK Summit Gala on May 19, 2021.
