The National Science & Technology Park (NSTP) recently hosted Mr. Kiat Wang, General Partner at Altara Ventures, a Singapore-based venture capital firm investing in early-stage technology startups across Southeast Asia and emerging markets, for an investor engagement session with NSTP startups, focused on venture capital, fundraising strategy, and startup investment readiness.

Welcoming the delegation, NSTP Director Engineer Amer Sheikh outlined the park’s broader mission and vision to strengthen Pakistan’s innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem through startup support, industry collaboration, and youth-driven innovation.

The visit included a focused session with founders from NSTP’s Cube 8 incubation program, led by NSTP Programme Manager Ms. Humaira Sajjad. The interactive discussion provided participating startups with practical exposure to how investors evaluate early-stage ventures beyond pitch decks, including market positioning, founder readiness, business traction, and long-term scalability.

Startups also received direct feedback on fundraising strategy, due diligence processes and how to better align their ventures with investor expectations in competitive markets, refining their positioning within competitive investment landscapes.

The engagement forms part of NSTP's ongoing efforts to connect local startups with international investors and industry networks, providing exposure to international investment practices, commercialization pathways, and global entrepreneurial perspectives.
