Monitoring Innovation: Brazilian Technology Parks through MCTI- InovaData -BR

Technology parks play a fundamental role in fostering innovation, driving economic and social development. These environments promote integration between academic institutions, industry, and government, facilitating the development of innovative products, services, and processes. Given the growing importance of these spaces, it is essential to monitor and evaluate their performance, ensuring greater transparency in the management of public resources and efficiency in the allocation of investments. However, the diversity of Brazilian technology parks makes it difficult to standardize metrics and systematically collect data. In this context, the MCTI- InovaData -BR platform was created, a competitive intelligence system aimed at the integration, monitoring, and development of technology parks in Brazil and their resident companies. This study presents an analysis of the data collected through the platform between 2017 and 2023, allowing us to understand the evolution of these environments, the challenges faced, and the opportunities for their strengthening.
