Description:

Germany’s leading STP Adlershof made the strategic decision to focus on impact entrepreneurs, who balance economic and societal needs to make a positive impact. To implement this approach, Adlershof had to face three major challenges:

How to distinguish impact enterprises?

Do these impact companies need different support?

How should the environment be created for these companies?

To answer these questions, different research and designing projects were started with first outcomes like a tool to measure and forecast impact and to compare impact scores between startups. Another research project sheds light on the mental demands and resources of impact-driven people while another scientific study accompanies a newly built working environment to evaluate the needs of impact-driven founders. Also working towards a tolerant atmosphere, Adlershof can report the first positive findings which also emphasize the positive aspects for STP and AoI to follow sometimes challenging but even more rewarding.
