Science for Women initiative launched in New Delhi

IKP’s Chairman and CEO Deepanwita Chattopadhyay was at the forefront of the launch of a technology and innovation portal called 'SWATI', focusing on science for women.

All women scientists, post doctoral researchers, project fellows and students, who are studying or working in India (or have done so in the past) are welcome to join. The SWATI portal is intended to serve as a gateway to view the expertise and contributions of Indian women in science

At the launch event, Deepanwita shared insights on ‘Entrepreneurship Development towards Atmanirbhar Bharat’ in a session chaired by Dr Renu Swarup, Former Secretary, Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, and Prof Paramjit Khurana, Delhi University.

The launch aligned with the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. Developed within the framework of the Inter Academy Panel (IAP) of the Indian Science Academies, SWATI is a dynamic platform aimed at empowering, inspiring, and uplifting women scientists, researchers, engineers, and innovators alike.
