As one of the fastest-growing industries in the world, the creative economy has demonstrated its importance for sustainable development by creating jobs and income and fostering innovation. However, it has become evident that the creative economy still confronts several obstacles, especially as the industry continues to digitalize. The creative economy has a great deal of development potential but also faces a great deal of uncertainty.
Incubators play a vital role in assisting companies in leveraging technology to tackle the challenges that the creative economy is currently experiencing, as well as in dealing with the rising digitization of the industry.
We show that the 'One fund, one park' strategy of TusPark Belgium can be used to stimulate the creative economy and how a triangle business model of 'science park + investment + incubation' can accelerate creative businesses to develop past the challenges imposed on them today.
