Porto Digital, Brazil, sets up site in Europe for internationalisation

The end of 2023 saw the opening of Porto Digital Europa in the city of Aveiro, central Portugal. The inauguration was attended by the mayor of Aveiro, José Ribau Esteves, the secretary of science and Technology of Aveiro, João Machado, the secretary of Science, Technology and Innovation of Pernambuco, Mauricélia Montenegro, the president of Porto Digital, Pierre Lucena, the vice-president of Porto Digital Europa, Mariana Pincovsky, the country manager of PD Europa, João Barbosa and the COO of CESAR, Karla Godoy.

Porto Digital Europa is a hub for the internationalization of Brazilian startups and IT companies and also a bridge for Portuguese IT companies to access the Brazilian market. The first Brazilian IT park in Portugal, PD Europa will temporarily operate in the Aveiro Exhibition Parks building, until the permanent building is ready.

IASP member Porto Digital, the largest urban technology park in Brazil is in the city of Recife. It has 350 companies with 17 thousand professionals and entrepreneurs. It is with the experience of 23 years of innovation that this site has been set up in Portugal. It is aimed at Brazilian companies who wish to establish themselves in a European ecosystem, and Porto Digital Europa offers guidance and support for this internationalization.
